Elicia Davis

Elicia frequently represents applicants and respondents in applications made under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989. Elicia has significant experience in applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Special Guardianship Orders.

Elicia has represented clients from initial hearings through to contested final hearings. This includes matters involving domestic abuse, vulnerable parties, allegations of parental alienation, and those which have required the involvement of the Local Authority and/or Children’s Guardians.

As well as representing parents, Elicia also has experience in representing children through their Guardians under 16.4 of the Family Procedure Rules. 

Elicia is able to use her extensive knowledge of immigration law to assist clients in private children matters where the immigration status of a party or child is a key feature in proceedings.

In her role a Director of Lawyers in the Soup Kitchen, Elicia gained a wealth of experience in Private Law child contact proceedings. She regularly instructed counsel, drafted position and witness statements, alongside creating hearing bundles.

Elicia regularly represents both applicants and respondents who are involved in Family Law Act 1996 proceedings. She has extensive experience in applications for non-molestation orders and occupation orders, including where those applications are linked to Children Act 1989 proceedings. Elicia receives instructions on both ex-parte and on-notice applications.

Elicia is regularly instructed on a variety of financial remedies proceedings including First Hearing Appointments, Financial Dispute Appointments, Final Hearings and applications for the enforcement of financial remedy orders.
