Claire joined Chambers following the successful completion of her pupillage in October 2017. Prior to pupillage, Claire worked for an insurance company in fleet motor claims and as a public liability claims handler before becoming a Solicitor Agent. She has built up her family practice which includes private and public child law as well as applications for injunctive relief and ancillary relief matters.

Claire accepts instructions to represent any party throughout care proceedings and has experience representing the Local Authority, parents, other family members and Guardians. She accepts instructions in all aspects of Public Law Children Work from EPO’s, ICO’s Case Management Hearings, Directions, Issue Resolution Hearings, Deprivation of Liberty hearings through to Final Hearings.


Domestic violence & injunctions

Claire has represented many clients in cases involving Domestic Abuse, dealing with applications for injunctions under the Family Law Act 1996 (non-molestation orders and occupation orders) both on a without and on-notice basis.


Family: Finance

Claire accepts instructions in financial remedy applications on behalf of both Applicant and Respondent. She has experience in advising and representing clients from First Directions Appointment, Financial Dispute Resolution Appointments through to Final Hearing. She also accepts instructs in relation to applications for spousal maintenance and enforcement.


Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence

Claire spent several years working within insurance companies dealing with issues as to liability and quantum. She continues to accept instructions to represent both claimants and defendants in MOJ Stage 3 hearings and infant settlement approvals.

Personal Info

In her free time Claire loves to spend time out in the countryside or on the sea. She is a Sub-Lieutenant (SCC)(RNR) with the Sea Cadet Corps and enjoys teaching when she has the chance to, she is a qualified sailing instructor and rowing coach.
