Court of Protection

These decisions can involve:

  • Property
  • Financial matters
  • Personal welfare (including medical treatment or deprivation of liberty)
  • Appointing a Deputy and Deputyship matters generally

We accept instructions from private individuals, family members, local authorities and the Official Solicitor; appearing in the Court of Protection both in London and on the local Circuit.

We recognise that all proceedings that involve the Court of Protection are highly sensitive and our aim is to work together alongside both solicitors and lay clients alike to provide friendly, sympathetic and effective advice.

Many Members of Chambers have relevant experience in the family Courts (in public law and care proceedings; private law children work and family finance).  This means that our team are both experienced in dealing with sensitive and complex reports as well having an intrinsic understanding of individuals financial affairs, estates and trusts.
