Christine is a specialist family practitioner with wide experience in all areas of family law. She has extensive experience in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court ,High Court and Principal Registry.

Christine comes to the Bar as a second career, having worked in the legal industry throughout her life.

Christine regularly presents family law seminars and has a particular interest in communications and training, having spent a period of time teaching part-time at the Inns of Court School of Law.

Family: Care & Children

Public Law / Care and Adoption Proceedings

Christine has considerable experience in care, adoption and wardship and undertakes work on behalf of local authorities, parents, extended family members and guardian from the Family Proceedings Court to the High Court. She is has particular expertise in cases involving non-accidental injury, neglect, emotional, sexual and physical abuse.

Committed to delivering client care of the highest standard, Christine is known for her sensitive and friendly approach towards clients.


Private Law Children: Contact and Residence disputes under the Children Act 1989

Christine’s  private law children practice centres on the most complex residence/contact disputes often with a mental health component or intractable hostility/false allegations of abuse and applications to remove from the jurisdiction (permanently and temporarily).


Domestic violence & injunctions

With extensive  expertise of cases involving domestic abuse, Christine is able to sensitively and appropriately to deal with these disputes


Family: Finance

Divorce & Separation

Christine has extensive experience in family finance work at all levels including big money cases, non-disclosure, third party interests/interveners and enforcement Christine is also instructed in cases involving financial provision for children pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and property disputes between cohabitees.
